Da Vinci's Demons

Project overview

For Starz’s Da Vinci’s Demons, produced by Huge Designs and directed by Paul McDonnell, I served as lead illustrator for the main title sequence, creating artwork inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s anatomical studies, mechanical inventions, sketches and symbolic imagery. The illustrations were developed into a richly layered, moving visual system that reflected the series’ blend of Renaissance history, science and fantasy, earning the team the 2013 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Main Title Design.
